“LEAF & LIFE”

It is very spontaneous process of creation. In this project nature, season of nature, Natural object, human feelings (by touching, smelling, looking, hearing) come to gather and transformed by the personal experience and knowledge about life.

The leaf means life, hope, adolescence, early spring, property, energy, peace, but the drip of leaf means the opposite phenomenon and affection of life. Dry leaf is a universal symbol of negativity. In the present time we have a journey to the opposite way of national and personal life. It is a root reality for us.

I was influenced by great Bengali poet Jobonanondo Das, but in this performance, I tried to transform the natural phenomenon to human emotion and feelings. by my installation. I will try to create a situation for spectator to feel the phenomenon of nature by their skin, nose, eye, ear and previous experience and knowledge of life.

CONFLICTS OF MIND

Life has to go ahead with small steps through there are many conflicts of life. I always try to break the static of logic, idea and social form. I want to be free until I find out a new logic or reason. So this freedom can turn to another static form, then I fell on the same conflict. It is like a circle that builds one form, then break and turn to another

LOOK AT ME AND REFLECT UPON YOURSELF

It is the same culture that people are still practicing. They are carrying on a legacy but the religious convictions have now become a dogma. The cultural stagnation manifests in the artifacts that people here sell. They are copying the work ......... repeatedly, as if there creativity has been stiffed by this weight of history.

The frustration and the pain of this legacy are apparent in the eyes of the youth here. They are entrenched in there own history and seeing them, I too feel sad. I want to represent their feelings in my performance, and for this reason my title is ‘Look At Me And Reflect Upon Your Self.’

It is not for you but why do you run away for it????

Life in third world is covered by an enormous problem. here we have no destination for life and everything. In our mind we always make a lot of paradoxical terms. We have a lot of dreams but we are not able to materialize it in time but we always try hardly even we know that it is not possible for us. Sometime we succeed and several times we lose everything. As a passenger of a paradoxical journey, I have some self analysis in this work. We have a folk joke, “When you hang a carrot in front of the nose , Donkey must start to run”. I transformed it by my criticisms, because I need to mean something personal matter by the performance which represent the present mental condition of the youth in heir.

story of an abundant village

The nature in village Shatana was very colorless, It was very dry and hot, I found a small bush which was dry and death. My intention was about nature Within the workshop period, because it is really so opposite for my home environment, I was trying to understanding the situation and life in Jordan instead of my point of view about life and reality, I did an installation in an abundant house in the abundant village shatana.
